Andrea Witzel & Kris Schumacher: We have been friends for years, and we have shared a lot of adventures. Our most enduring have centred around our shared interest in food: sourcing it, preparing it, and enjoying it with good friends and family. With households that fluctuate between empty nests(we each have four children) and full to the brim, we have developed our unique way of preparing for special occasions made simple, and simple dinners made special. Since launching our barbecue cookbook, Gathering Around The Grill, we continue to enjoy exploring new recipes, markets, and restaurants.

Outside of the kitchen or away from the barbecue, we love to hike with our flat-coated retrievers, do active travelling (always with an appetite!), volunteer in our local communities, and support the various interests of our husbands and children.
